Sometimes You Gotta Do...

What you gotta do.

And, right now, I gotta lose this weight and get in shape.

Vacation's over, and it's time to leave the cruise ship buffet mentality behind.

No diet. No shortcuts. No plastic surgery (I wish). Just a renewed commitment to eating healthy: whole foods--fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, less sugar (and wine). More meal planning and less dining out.

And more exercise. After all, I have my first 5K on the calendar for April!

Who's with me??

Although I will not agree with you about running a 5K(I just don't get the whole running thing!)I will agree with the eating better and doing some form of exercise!!!! My green smoothie days are here!!!

Get after it! I started running a couple years ago and will do my 3rd half marathon in April. I was never a runner but I really love it now! Remember, it doesn't matter how fast you go, just that you're doing it (whether that's running or anything else health wise!)

Run a 5K is on my Epic To-Do List of 2012 but I am a total hermit in the winter, so I won't even start my couch to 5K thing until around April or when the temps are consistently 45+. (I am anti-cold in a big way.)

However, I have adopted big-time eating changes, regular workouts, and have lost 18 lbs since Christmas. (Still, sadly, a long way to go yet.)

I sent you an invite to fitocracy.com which is like social workout tracking. I enjoy the leveling up aspect of it, for some reason it's helping me stay motivated.

5k would probably kill me! But eating better more vegies, fruits, and less processed foods, sugar-carbs- more physical activity ( I'm thinking of getting a treadmill ) You bet ya!
